With a turnaround season in place and four top-10 finishes in the last five ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) events, Wisconsin’s Dexter Bean returns to Toledo Speedway this weekend looking for redemption from his mediocre finishes last year while also vowing to move up the points ladder.
Bean, driving his familiar red and white No. 6 Chevrolet Monte Carlo hopes to better his 24th place finishes from 2006 at the half-mile facility. With a second and eighth in the last two short track events this season, the odds are in the sophomore driver favor to collect his fifth top-10 finish of the year.
“I’m looking forward to going to Toledo, not because I like the track, but because I am looking for redemption,” said Bean. “We ran okay at Toledo Speedway last year; we just couldn’t get a grip on the place. This year we’re bringing a car that has run well on all the short track races this year and I’m hoping that the success continues on Sunday.”
