Team Full Throttle Driver Development racer Beau Browning drew the praise of fellow competitors, fans, and track officials at the storied Huntsville Speedway in Huntsville, AL last Friday when he qualified his sharp looking machine eighth and drove a patient heads up race to finish fourth in his Late Model debut. It capped a big week for the youngster as the team welcomed a couple of new marketing partners to the fold during the week as well.
The 17-year old was all smiles after the race, and said the time the team spent testing at the track prior to entering a race definitely paid off. “Oh yeah there’s no doubt we were able to do what we did tonight because of what we learned in the tests, ” said Browning. “I probably had close to 200 laps in the car and a lot of that was on older tires, so I knew what the limits were and what it felt like when it was on the edge. All I wanted to do tonight was take my time and get used to how to pass and how to work through traffic. I just wanted to finish, and we ended up in the top five. This is awesome! ”
