The ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts Southern Division is looking ahead to a much anticipated 2007 season. The series “Where Champions Race” will see the ASALMS Southern Division cars and stars begin their second season on Friday and Saturday March 16-17, 2007 at the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway in Bronson, Florida for the Gator 125.
Both the ASALMS Northern and Southern Divisions experienced vast amounts of growth in 2006 as both series’ were in their first season under the blanket of the ASALMS. As for the 2007 season, several news facilities adorn the ASALMS Southern Division schedule for the upcoming season and of the 11 speed plants that will host an ASALMS South show in 2007, only one gets the honor of not only hosting multiple events, but the 2007 ASALMS Southern Division Season Championships as well!
The ASALMS Southern Division will make two appearances at one of the most historic and tradition laden tracks in the entire United States. The famed Birmingham (AL) International Raceway, located on the Alabama State Fairgrounds in Birmingham, Alabama will host the ASALMS Southern Division on Saturday July 14, 2007 in the running of the Crimson 125.
Then on Saturday October 27, 2007, the ASALMS Southern Division Cars and Stars will decide their 2007 Champion and Rookie of the Year respectively in the ASALMS Southern Division Season Championships 125 at the fast 0.625 Mile Semi-Banked Paved Oval. BIR is the only track on the 2007 ASALMS Southern Division schedule that will host more than one show during the season.
