Team Full Throttle Driver Development racer Beau Browning finished third in the season finale’ for the Late Models at Alabama’s infamous Huntsville Speedway, and says he’s looking toward a bigger and better season in 2008.
“The car was just great tonight, ” Beau smiled after the race. “Martin Pierce had the setup right on the money. It was a fun race. That equals our best finish for the year. What a great way to end the season here at Huntsville. I cannot thank my family, Martin Pierce, and my sponsors enough for a great year. Tonight made up for the 8th place we had a couple weeks ago after I made a couple of rookie mistakes. I’m much happier with what we did tonight. It was probably about as much fun as I’ve ever had in a race car! “
Beau says the team may attempt another race or two this year, but the real emphasis is being placed on preparation for a more ambitious 2008 schedule. “We are talking about going to Music City Motorplex in Nashville once or twice and maybe doing the Hickory ASA South show in North Carolina in October. Right now though, we’re working hard to get some excitement going with potential marketing partners who are interested in working with us for a full assault on the ASA South Series next year. We’d like to run for Rookie of the Year there and get me some good experience adjusting to different types of tracks. That’s what we’re planning on doing as of right now if everything works out right. ”
