Presented by GM Performance Parts is drawing closer to swinging open the doors on the Fifth Anniversary 2007 season. Over 200 drivers have registered in one, two, or all three divisions within the ASALMS as in just three weeks, the cars and stars of the ASALMS will be making the long haul to the great state of Texas for the 2007 Season Opener.
One driver who will make his ASALMS debut at the 2007 ASALMS Challenge Division Season Opener at the San Antonio (TX) Speedway in San Antonio, Texas on Friday and Saturday March 2-3, 2007 for the 2nd annual Alamo 200, has an aggressive 2007 schedule planned and has high hopes of contending not only in the ASALMS Challenge Division, but the full schedule in the ASALMS Southern Division as well.
Lakeland, Florida driver, Chris Fontaine will run a FLF Racecars (Formally Finish Line Fabricating) House Car for the 2007 season in the ASALMS and will be gunning for the ASALMS Challenge Division Championship and Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the Year title in the crown jewel of the ASALMS, as well as going for the Championship and Rookie title in the ASALMS Southern Division.
“We have two new Chevrolet’s ready for this season in the ASALMS and the team feels we are right on schedule. “ Said Fontaine as he continues to prepare for his first ever ASALMS event in the Lone Star State in just over three weeks. “This team is ready to move forward and a new series could be just the right medicine for the CFR Racing team. “ Fontaine added.
In addition to beginning the season in San Antonio, Texas, Fontaine is also preparing for the ASALMS Southern Division Opener in his home state of Florida on Friday and Saturday March 16-17, 2007 at the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway, located West of Gainesville in Bronson, Florida for the Gator 100. Overall in 2007, Fontaine will compete at 11 different United States tracks and one in Canada this season.
