Close ARCA Re/Max Series Title Tilt Rolls To The Milwaukee Mile



Eight-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel pocketed his second victory of the season on the Illinois State Fairgrounds dirt track Aug. 19 and will hold a 95-point cushion over hard-charging rookie and 2007 Kentucky Speedway July race winner Michael McDowell when the series visits The Milwaukee Mile Sunday. Kimmel and McDowell both own two wins and six top-five finishes this season while Kimmel is one up on McDowell in the top-10 column with 11 through 16 of 23 scheduled races.

The top 10 in the series standings entering the event will be: Kimmel (Leader: 3,750 points, Ford), McDowell (Second: -95, Toyota), Dexter Bean (Third: -205, Chevrolet), Justin Allgaier (Fourth: -445, Chevrolet), Phillip McGilton (Fifth: -550, Ford), Patrick Sheltra (Sixth: -635, Chevrolet), Justin South (Seventh: -785, Dodge), Justin Marks (Eighth: -865, Dodge), Bobby Gerhart (Ninth: -905, Chevrolet (tied)) and Bryan Silas (Ninth: -905, Chevrolet (tied)).
