DMB Motorsports was one of the many teams that took the long drive last Friday to the 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned ‘Cabin Fever 50’ at New Egypt Speedway in New Jersey only to get the unfortunate news that the event was cancelled. They, like a few other teams left New Egypt, NJ in enough time to make it to Mechanicsburg, PA to compete at Williams Grove Speedway.
The team arrived at Williams Grove just in time for both Jim Bernheisel and Bryan Bernheisel to take a few practice laps. Jim would finish third in his heat race and Bryan sixth in his. Jim’s third place finish put him in the re-draw for the feature and as usual, Jim pulled a terrible pill. Jim would start 11th in the feature but make his way up to the 8th position by the time the checkered flag fell. “The car was excellent, ” said the always pleasant Jim Bernheisel, “We had a 5th place car, just couldn’t get around a few of those guys. I needed that run to knock some more of that rust off. I think we’re okay now. ” Unfortunately Bryan didn’t make it out of the B-Main and had to sit out the feature event. “Bryan was a little disappointed with Friday night, ” stated DMB Motorsports Crew Cheif Brandon Bernheisel, “I told him to keep his head up. He shows plenty of promise, he’ll be fine. “
