Racecars will take to the track for 19 Saturdays of racing this year at East Carolina Motor Speedway in Robersonville.
An April 14 practice session will precede the first race night, set for April 21. All six divisions, headlined by the limited late model stock drivers, will compete each week at the 3/8-mile asphalt oval.
The season continues through September, with the final night of racing Sept. 29. A post-season race is possible for October, ECMS co-owner Larry Lawrence said.
Racing will start each night at 7:30 p. m., a half-hour later than last year. During the 2007 season, ECMS will be closed May 5, May 19, July 7, Aug. 25 and Sept. 8.
A practice session had been scheduled for April 7, but since that is Easter weekend, officials canceled it.
