Adam Edwards had a lot of goals heading into last weekend’s Construct Corps-Palm Beach Grading (PBG) 250 at USA International Speedway. Unfortunately, the rookie driver missed the starting lineup by less than five-hundredths of a second.
In practice, Edwards took it easy. Intent on learning the facility and his racecar, the Virginia Tech graduate student didn’t feel the need to push the car. During the session, Edwards racked up the 31st fastest time overall with a lap of 23.841 seconds at 113.250 MPH. During the final practice session leading up to time trials, Edwards maneuvered put down the 34th fastest lap with a time of 23.944 seconds at 112.763 MPH.
