“To go to Monaco with the lead in both the drivers’ and constructors’ championships is fantastic but we saw in Barcelona that the performance margins at the front are extremely close,” Button said. “There will be a lot of competitive cars fighting it out this weekend.

Embattled Ferrari are hopeful the race will herald a change in their fortunes, something which could benefit Button if the Italian team take points from Red Bull.
“Monaco is an unpredictable venue, and you have to take a very controlled approach to the race weekend,” said Brawn.
