Jim Bernheisel and DMB Motorsports made the short 40 mile trip from Lebanon, PA to Mechanicsburg, PA this past Friday night to visit Williams Grove Speedway for the 30-lap, $3,000 to win Super Late Model special event.
Jim, like always, drew a terrible pill to start the night and would start his heat race in the 8th position. Jim was able to make it up to the 5th position in the star studded race, one spot out of a transfer spot. Fortunately for Jim he was able to put his Lazer Chassis/Bernheisel Race Components/Edge Racing Engines/Morrissey s Meats/Pontiac Grand Prix into the main event by virtue of the B-Main.
Jim started the 30-lap, $3,000 to win A-Main event in the 21st spot and was able to make his way through the tough field to a solid 11th place finish. “It wasn t quite the way we wanted to start the year but this was a race to knock the rust off. Next week is when we really need to have our game faces on. ” stated Jim Bernheisel on his uneventful trip to Williams Grove.
Next week DMB Motorsports and Jim Bernheisel will be at “The Rock” Allegany County Speedway in Cumberland, MD for the Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) 44-lap, $5,000 to win season opener.
