The ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts Northern Division has completed their 2007 Season Opener as Race Number One of the 2007 Campaign; The A. S.I. Limited 100 Presented by Lucas Oil Products and Ed Martin Automotive Group is now in the record books.
The Cars and Stars of the ASALMS Northern Division were at the immaculate O’Reilly (IN) Raceway Park at Indianapolis on Saturday April 28, 2007 for the 2007 Season Opener for the second year series; The A. S.I. Limited 100 Presented by Lucas Oil Products and Ed Martin Automotive Group.
In what was the greatest comeback in ASALMS history; Brian Campbell started 27th and took the lead on Lap 88 when the A. S.I. Limited Chevrolet Monte Carlo of then race leader, Sean Murphy pulled into the pits after running out of gas!
Campbell would then hold off charges from Rookie Troy Hintzsche, who also ran out of gas with Five Laps to go, and then Indianapolis’ own., Peter Cozzolino who mustered up a late charge. Campbell would go on and make ASALMS history by winning the A. S.I. Limited 100 Presented by Lucas Oil Products and Ed Martin Automotive Group!
