Faced with a diminishing year-end market Holden has now slashed its Limited-edition 60th. Anniversary Commodore sedan to $29,990 drive-away until the 24th December. Metallic paint adds $500.
Valued at $4700 the extra features on the 3.6-litre V6 180kW four-speed automatic 60th anniversary Commodore include 18-inch alloy wheels, leather seat facings, a leather steering wheel, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth phone connectivity, a front grille insert and silver decorative moulding on the instrument panel.
These features are in addition to Omega’s standard stability control, six airbags, air-conditioning, cruise control, anti-lock brakes, height and reach adjustable steering wheel, CD player, auto on headlights and power rear-view mirrors.
Whilst dealers hold limited stock of the 60th anniversary Commodore they suggest the discount is so strong that it will flow to the standard Omega sedan.
The more potent 6.0-litre V8 SS gets a $9553 price reduction – pay $39,990 drive-away for the six-speed manual, six-speed auto adds $2000, metallic paint $500.
On November 29 Holden marked the 60th anniversary of its 48-215 sedan, Australia’s first locally-developed car. The first 48-215 was flagged off the line at Holden’s Fisherman’s Bend plant in Melbourne on 29th November 1948 by Prime Minister Ben Chifley who told reporters “She’s a beauty”.
