Barry Klinedinst Motorsports and 2006 Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Champion Jason Covert spent little time this off-season celebrating their first major championship together. The 2006 season ended so late in the year that the team had to start preparing for the 2007 season.

“I just love to race, I’m excited to get the 2007 season kicked off” stated the 2006 MACS Champion Jason Covert. “Things are coming along well at the shop and we are looking to get the season kicked off at the two practice nights (March 10th & 17th) at Port Royal Speedway. Our first scheduled race will be at Williams Grove Speedway on March 30th then we will head to Challenger (Raceway) for Spring Fest (April 1st). ” claimed Covert.

The following week the team will begin their quest for a second straight MACS championship. The MACS open their 2007 campaign at “The Rock” Allegany County Speedway in Cumberland, MD. “We plan on doing the whole MACS deal again, running with those guys last year was a great learning experience for me and the team. The MACS staff works with nothing but class and I look forward to being a part of their organization again for 2007. ” Covert commented.

Jason Covert and Barry Klinedinst Motorsports would like to welcome a few new sponsors on board for the 2007 season while they chase that elusive second MACS Championship. Dennis Eberly Building & Remodeling, Wrisco Aluminum, JNJ Motorsports Media, and American Racer Tires have all come on board for 2007. The team is also excited to announce that Robbie Allen Enterprises will be on board this season as a consultant.

“I’m really excited to have Robbie on board this year”, exclaimed an enthusiastic Covert. “Hopefully with Robbie on board we can continue to be successful on the race track. ” Klinedinst Motorsports also signed on with JNJ Motorsports Media for the 2007 season, “I really look forward to working with Jason (Shank) and JNJ Motorsports Media. Our deal with them will help keep our fans informed and promote our sponsors in a way that we haven’t been able to in the past. ”

Jason Covert and Klinedinst Motorsports will be at Port Royal Speedway on the 10th and the 17th for their practice nights, Williams Grove Speedway for a non-sanctioned event on March 30th, then take the three hour drive from York Haven, PA to Indiana, PA for the 5th Annual “Spring Fest” at Challenger Raceway.
