Jesse Saunders and the JWS race team are geared up and ready for the 2007 season to begin. Saunders, who spent the last two seasons racing in the ASA Late Model division at the Madison International Speedway, is tentatively scheduled to run the entire ASA Late Model Series Northern Division beginning with the season opener at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis.
After a dismal season last year that included an accident that took him out of contention for the ASALM (Now Madison Late Models) championship at Madison with four races to go, Saunders is ready to forget last year and look ahead to 2007.
“Last year we had absolutely no luck, ” explained Saunders. “We lost our primary sponsor to run the North Series just before the first race. Then we were in a wreck while running 3rd in points at MIS that forced us to miss the rest of the season. “
