The final event in the NASCAR Canadian Tire series for Team Fastline driver Jim Lapcevich and the EMCEA Transport – Tim Hortons Chevrolet will be this weekend at Kawartha Speedway.
“We’re looking forward to ending the season with a strong finish, ” said Jim Lapcevich, team driver for Fastline Motorsports in Hamilton. “We’ve had some good runs in this series. I’m very happy with the car and I’ve got dedicated sponsors and a solid team behind me. ”
The upcoming Dodge Dealers of Ontario Dodge Charger 250 presented by Allied Steel Buildings, is the 12th and final event in the 2007 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, and will be held at Kawartha Speedway on the 3/8th-mile, high banked, asphalt oval in Fraserville, Ontario, September 23.
“Kawartha is a great track, we look forward to going there, it’s a fun place to race’” added Lapcevich, who resides in Grimsby, Ontario.
“It’s fast and the way our EMCEA Transport – Tim Hortons Monte Carlo Chevrolet has been performing we should do well. We’ve been able to improve our set-up at each event, and that will be vital on this track. With the progressive banking in the corners there will be very competitive side-by-side racing. ”
Teammate Jeff Lapcevich will not compete this weekend.
