Josh Butler, fresh on the heels of a top-ten finish at Florence Motor Speedway in his Allison Legacy racer, expects further progress in the rest of his 2007 season.
“Last weekend we were running in Florence, at Florence Motor Speedway, ” he said. In the first of a pair of races, “we were running third, but dropped back to 20th at the start with an electrical problem. ” His crew chief “jiggled some wires” and got the car running again, sending him back on the track.
“With seventeen laps to go, we passed for third, ” before he got spun and dropped to the back of the field in 19th spot. By the end of the race he had moved back through the field again to ninth place. “Not bad, ” he said, considering the problems encountered.
