The ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts is the talk of short track stock car racing throughout the United States as well as Canada and even reaching as far as the United Kingdom with a team based in England that looks to run the full schedule of events in the ASALMS Northern Division.
Media coverage has been astounding to say the least over the years as the series “Where Champions Race” continues to move forward with the Fifth Anniversary 2007 season. One of the most respected auto racing magazines in the industry has also renewed their efforts as a contingency sponsor for the upcoming 2007 season.
For the 2007, Late Model Racer, based in Linden, Virginia is back on board with the ASALMS as a contingency sponsor throughout all three divisions for the Fifth Anniversary season. Late Model Racer will be giving a year’s trial subscription to the driver who finishes as the last car on the lead lap of every event in 2007, or if that competitor already subscribes, they’ll renew he subscription by a year.
“I get my Late Model Racer religiously every month. It’s a top notch magazine and Craig does a great job every single issue.” Stated Ron Varney, ASALMS Co-Founder/President. “It’s really nice that a magazine of LMR’s caliber steps up like they do for the ASALMS and we sincerely appreciate their efforts and the great coverage they give to the ASALMS.” Varney added.
“The ASALMS has become one of the top touring series for Late Model competitors in the country, not only because of the top notch competitors who compete in the series, but also because of the influence the series has had on rules around the country.” Remarked Craig Murto, Publisher of Late Model Racer. “Any series that gets local tracks to mirror their rule book for weekly competition is worthy of attention, and Late Model Racer will certainly be paying attention to the ASALMS in 2007.” Murto added.
