Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Sets For Huge Month of May With Four Race Events



There are currently 19 drivers that have maintained perfect attendance at all points paying races this year that are eligible for the “Road to Wheatland” bonus money. Those drivers are Billy Moyer, Don O’Neal, Scott James, Terry English, Steve Casebolt, Donnie Moran, Dan Schlieper, Matt Miller, Earl Pearson, Jr., Steve Shaver, Billy Drake, Ray Cook, Scott Bloomquist, Justin Rattliff, Damon Eller, Michael England, Brad Neat, John Mason and Freddy Smith. The drivers voted for 50 “Hardship” points for Scott Bloomquist who was unable to attend the Hagerstown event due to suffering a broken hand in a non-racing accident.

The month of money for May will conclude with back-to-back shows on Friday and Saturday, May 18th and 19th. On Friday Night, May 18th the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will take to the track at Farley Speedway in Farley, IA for its third ever appearance at the Simmons Promotions, Inc. promoted race track.

In the two previous visits to Farley 2005 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series “Rookie of the Year” Scott James of Lawrenceburg, IN took the win in ‘05 and last year Iowa native, Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR grabbed the top honors. The series will then shift to the state of Illinois on Saturday, May 19th for the “Spring Shootout” at the Izzo Family promoted La Salle Speedway in La Salle, IL. It will mark the fifth ever visit to La Salle for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with Jimmy Mars of Menomonie, WI and Brian Birkhofer taking the wins in 2005 and last year it was Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, IL and Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN sitting in victory circle at La Salle at the end of the night.
