Lynn Geisler Returns to Action at Lernerville Speedway For Regular “Fab-Four” Event

The Geisler Racing team and 2006 Lernerville Speedway Track Champion, Lynn Geisler recovered nicely this past weekend from a very unlucky stretch of racing the past few weeks.

On Friday, May 11th the “Geisler Gang” returned to action at Lernerville Speedway for their regular “Fab-Four” event. The night started off good with a solid third place finish in his heat putting him in the re-draw for the feature event. Lynn would start 6th in the feature and work his way up to the 3rd position at one point during the event. Lynn faded a bit throughout the race but was still able to come home with a respectable 6th place finish. The following night the team visited Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway for their regular show. Lynn was able to race his #1 Cochran Automotive/Marshall Stamping/Groff Tractor & Equipment Inc. /Tri-State Hose & Supply/Bolea Oil/Hoosier Race Tire/Rocket Chassis GTO into the 3rd position in the final rundown behind race winner Steve Baker and runner-up Jared Miley.

This past weekend the team again visited Lernerville Speedway on Friday and Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway on Saturday. Lynn had a strong 3rd place run in his heat race at Lernerville, which put him in the 11th starting position for the feature. Geisler was running 10th at a lap-21 caution but was able to advance 4 more positions to the 6th finishing spot when the 25-lap feature was over.

During Friday afternoon, crew chief Andy Kennedy was looking over Lynn’s PPMS car and noticed something amiss with the motor. Saturday afternoon Andy took the motor apart only to find that the motor had blown the week before with no indication that it had even happened. Geisler was forced to change the setup in his Lernerville car and take his “open” motor to Pittsburgh. Lynn won his heat with his “open” car but was pretty tight in turns one and two. After a few adjustments and an inversion of zero, Lynn was ready to start the A-Main on the pole. Lynn would jump out to a quick and commanding lead until the rains came 11 laps into the event, forcing track officials to postpone the event. The nights festivities have not yet been rescheduled.

This week’s schedule looks much like it usually does with Lernerville Speedway on Friday and Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway on Saturday.
