Aboard Spraker Racing Enterprises No. 37 GLOCK Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) rookie Michelle Theriault will have an opportunity to close out her first year of ARCA competition with a top-10 finish in Sunday’s Hantz Group 200 presented by Belle Tire.

Competing in a full NASCAR Busch East Series (NBES) schedule this season, the duo decided to leap up into the competitive ARCA RE/MAX Series and the while the team has endured success the team is searching for their first top-10 on the ARCA tour in the final race of the season.

Theriault made her short track ARCA debut this past March at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Florida. She burst onto the circuit with impressive results. Her inaugural race was cut short though after a radiator failure forced the team to exit the event.

Now closing out her season at another short track at ARCA’s home track of Toledo Speedway, Theriault turns to her veteran car owner Jeff Spraker and his talented bunch to put the team back into the spotlight.

“I’m looking forward to Toledo Speedway this weekend, ” said Theriault, driver of the No. 37 GLOCK Chevrolet Monte Carlo. “I haven’t had the privilege of competing at Toledo before but Jeff has plenty of experience. I will be leaning on his knowledge to help me get adjusted to one of the best ARCA short track events on the schedule. ”

And despite the inexperience at the half-mile bullring Theriault knows that concentrating on some of the Toledo veterans will pay its dividends. “I’ll be watching the competition closely this weekend. We have to get into the show on time and there’s no doubt that we will. I just need to learn the line quickly and get after it and make sure we have a good qualifying setup and an exceptional race package. ”

When asked if Theriault enjoys the short tracks or the speedways more, she replied with “Short track racing is my norm. I’ve been racing on the short tracks for a long time, but I have to admit that speedway racing is a lot of fun. You can’t compare one or the other. They are really night and day, but I can tell you that I do enjoy meeting the fans on the short tracks. They pack the stands coming to watch us race and to a driver that means a heck of a lot. ”

Immediately following the ARCA RE/MAX Series race at Toledo Speedway, Theriault will prepare for the TOYOTA All-Star showdown at Irwindale Speedway in Irwindale, California. The showdown is a non-championship event full of competitors from the NASCAR Busch East and West Series. Theriault earned an invitation from her successful rookie campaign in the NBES.

Before turning all of her attention towards making her sixth career ARCA RE/MAX Series start, Theriault will join a host of drivers at the third annual ARS Fan Fest at Toledo Speedway on Friday, October 12 from 5:00-6:30 p. m. local time.
