Lorz Motorsports has seen quite a few changes and definitely its’ share of ups and downs so far in the 2007 season in the ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts. Before, During, and After the last ASALMS Northern Division event, in Odessa, Missouri; The Lorz team went through the gauntlet of changes and switches.
Rookie of the Year title contender, Dave Gentile Jr., is ready to resume his quest for the 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Rookie championship after a career high second place finish in the Missouri 100 Presented by KC Power Equipment back on June 9, 2007 at the I-70 (MO) Speedway. As for the second car in the Lorz stable, major changes have recently taken place.
Mansfield, Ohio driver, Mike Osgar joins Lorz Motorsports after competing in the first two ASALMS Northern Division shows of the 2007 season for his own Triton Motorsports Team. This is after last year, his first season of ASALMS competition by running the 2006 ASALMS Northern Division Schedule, minus the first two shows, as well as making one appearance in the ASALMS Challenge Division.
“Lorz Motorsports will be maintain the Mike Osgar machine for the rest of the season and Don (Duffle Bag) Udoni will serve as Crew Chief the car with help from the guys that worked with him on the Alison Quick car. ” Stated Lorz Motorsports Car Owner, Mike Lorz. In addition, Lorz Motorsports is still actively searching for a driver, with some financial backing, to fill the seat in the #54 Ford Fusion for the remainder of the 2007 season in select ASALMS Challenge Division appearances.
Beginning on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday August 2-3-4 at the Bristol (TN) Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee for the running of the “Crate American Race/Thunder Valley 200, Lorz is looking for a driver to run in the remainder of the ASALMS Challenge Division events.
