The ASA Late Model Series Northern Division Presented by GM Performance Parts is gearing up for its’ second race of the 2007 Season this Saturday June 9, 2007 at the famed high-banks of the I-70 (MO) Speedway in Odessa, Missouri for the running of the Missouri 100.
One driver has high hopes heading into the 2007 Racing Season and is perhaps the one driver who is looking forward to a return trip to the Show-Me State the most is Mansfield, Ohio Sophomore, Mike Osgar.
Osgar has been waiting for the first of two appearances at the I-70 Speedway since last September during the North VS South Shootout/World Cup 200 where he finished a career high Fourth. “We had a great finish at I-70 in September with our first career Top Five and hopefully we can at least duplicate that and maybe finish a couple positions higher. ” Osgar stated.
So far in one appearance in the ASALMS Northern Division, Osgar struggled to a 24th place finish in the 2007 Season Opener at the O’Reilly (IN) Raceway Park at Indianapolis (Formally Indianapolis Raceway Park) back on April 28, 2007. Now a return to a track where Osgar has enjoyed success has the 33-year-old primed and ready to resume the 2007 season after a six week lay off.
