Logano, who will start 24th in Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series Lenox Industrial Tools 301, won the pole for Saturday’s Nationwide Series Camping World RV Sales 200.
The race will mark Logano’s first Nationwide Series event at the 1.058-mile oval.
The 19-year old Middletown native put up a lap of 29.548 seconds (128.902 mph) to secure the top spot in the field in Nationwide Series qualifying. Hartford Courant
“I thought I screwed up, but still had a really good lap,” Logano said.
Logano will attempt to become the 23rd different driver to win at New Hampshire in NASCAR’s second-tier series. Tony Stewart drove the No.20 JGR car to victory here one year ago, becoming the 22nd different winner in as many Nationwide races.
Carl Edwards grabbed the outside pole after recording a lap at 128.597 m.p.h. (29.618 seconds). MiamiHerald.com
