Saturday was another dominating day for Kyle Busch. It wasn’t a winning day.
Busch, the NASCAR Nationwide Series points leader, led 173 of 200 laps in Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway, but Joey Logano led the right four laps to take the victory, his fifth in 37 Nationwide starts. Topeka Capital Journal
Busch padded his championship lead to 245 points over Carl Edwards with six races to go in the season. Edwards finished seventh.
“The guys did a great job working on (the car) all weekend long and made it the best car out there all day, but unfortunately I got beat by another driver,” Busch said. “It just wasn’t meant to be, it wasn’t our day today, I guess, and unfortunately we’re sitting here talking about a second-place finish.” Auto Racing Daily
