Casola will be in the Andy Belmont owned NOS Energy Drink/Casola Farms #1 Ford when it rolls off on the 1.33-mile Nashville Superspeedway concrete oval.
“The track, a concrete surface, had great grip to it, ” said the 19-year-old Holmdel, NJ racer. “I really felt comfortable on the track even though we were limited to about 45 laps because of the blown engine. ” There were five or six teams that participated in the weekend test session at Nashville.
Casola will have an opportunity to practice from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm on Friday, April 6th followed by late afternoon Pole Award Qualifying. The ARCA 150 will get the green flag at noon on Saturday, April 7th and will be followed by a NASCAR Busch Series event.
“I am looking forward to Saturday at Nashville. I think we can have a great run, ” said an enthusiastic Casola. “Andy (Belmont) has been a great coach and mentor for me. We work well together. He and the team know what I like in a car. ”
After the ARCA 150 at Nashville the team will head to the high banked asphalt oval at Salem, Indiana Speedway for an April 22nd ARCA race followed by a Friday, April 27th event on the 1.5-mile semi-banked Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.
Casola plans to run the entire 2007 ARCA schedule with Andy Belmont Motorsports. The ARCA RE/MAX Series is made up of 23 events being run at 17 racetracks located in 12 different states.
