A short race but a solid effort. That sentence sums up Carter-2-Motorsports run at Kentucky Speedway last Saturday night in the Buckle-Up Kentucky 150.
With rookie Nick Tucker aboard, the team was looking for redemption following an impressive run at Winchester Speedway turned sour because of an expired engine. The team was hoping to make it through the seventh race of the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) season without any mechanical failures during the 100-lap/150 mile battle.
In practice, Tucker produced the 34th fastest time leaving optimism upon many of the faces of the Carter-2-Motorsports team. Being the trooper that Tucker has been all year, he rallied his troops and assured them there was nothing to worry about, they were going to be in the field for the first of two events held at Kentucky Speedway this season.
