Indianapolis, Indiana veteran, Peter Cozzolino has a full plate of racing within the ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts during the 2007 season. His Cozzolino Motorsports Team is running the full schedule of events in both the ASALMS Challenge and Northern Division with hopes of capturing both Championships and is widely considered a strong favorite to accomplish the feat.
In his last ASALMS Challenge Division event, the 1st annual Tradition 200 at a track where the Hoosier State veteran has seen plenty of success; The Berlin (MI) Raceway in Marne, Michigan; Cozzolino qualified 10th, ran strong in the first 100 laps, but was hanging on with an extremely loose car throughout the second 100 laps dropping him to a disappointing 12th place finish, Two laps off the pace.
Now Cozzolino will head to the Great White North and the ASALMS’ first ever visit outside the United States in the running of the Canada 200 Presented by Sicard Holiday Campers at the famed Cayuga (ON) Speedway Park in Hagersville, Ontario/Canada on Friday and Saturday June 29-30, 2007.
In addition to steering his own Ford Fusion, Cozzolino will be bringing a back up machine for Clio, Michigan driver, David McManus; A stand out in Outlaw Bodied Super Late Models competition in the state of Michigan.
