“I’ve never raced at Kentucky, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. Everyone seems to really like racing there. I’m really happy to be running in the ARCA RE/MAX Series race on Friday night. The pressure is on me since Erik Darnell was able to win the race here earlier this year. We had a good test a few weeks ago, hopefully we’ll be able to take what we learned there and apply it to the race on Friday night. “
Crew Chief Jeff Campey on racing at Kentucky Speedway:
“We tested here with Peter a few weeks ago and we were pretty happy with how he performed. We won at Kentucky with Erik Darnell earlier in the season, so we’ll be looking to compete for the sweep. Peter’s going to be pulling double duty this weekend, running both the ARCA and the Craftsman Truck Series races. Hopefully that helps him to get comfortable running here so we can race for the win on Friday night. ”
