With his first United Speed Alliance Racing (USAR) Hooter’s Pro Cup race behind him and a strong top-10 finish at USA International Speedway last Saturday night in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, Bryan Silas will take advantage of an off weekend and return to Pro Cup competition for Saturday’s Glover Foods 250 from South Georgia Motorsports Park.
Silas, a native of Stuart, Florida will reunite with Troy Baird for the second event of the season. The USAR and ARCA rookie will once again pilot the No. 80 Ford Fusion.
Rewinding back to his inaugural debut, Silas practiced solid, started 34th and began a mad march towards the front at the beginning of the event. Moving through the pack with a neutral racecar, Silas was logging laps and maneuvering through the field accomplishing what he planned to do, finish the race. Those plans came to a halt when Silas was dumped by another competitor on lap 40 causing front-end damage to his automobile.
