Southern All Star Coca Cola Super Late Model Championship Rolls Into Dixie Speedway



Woodstock, GA One of the Nation’s top regional touring Series rolls into Dixie Speedway this Saturday night for the “Southern All Star Coca Cola Super Late Model Championship” Race. The $5,000 first place prize money is drawing the regions top drivers including current All Star point leader Mark Vineyard, along with Dale McDowell, Ray Cook, Jimmy Owen, Shane Clanton, Chris Madden, and Clint Smith are just a few of the drivers scheduled to compete.

They will have their hands full with the locals at Dixie that include Tim Day from Alpharetta, Georgia. Day is a former track champion at Dixie and is off to a great start this season with 3 wins already including the 1st leg points championship double winners purse night. Day along with former track champions Frank Ingram, Ricky Williams, and Rodney Martin will all be ready for the travelers in the 50 lap main event.

2007 Dixie feature winner Luther Jenkins, along with Dixie regulars Ken Rupp, Shane Fulcher, Jake Herrell, Dusty Chitwood, and Tyson Herrell, plus 30 more promise to make up one of the most talented fields of Super Late Models so far during the “every Saturday night” 2007 season.

“This is going to be a great event. The fans are in for a treat. I think the locals are stronger than ever before and their going to give the traveling guys all they can handle this Saturday night. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top, ” said Track General Manager Mike Swims.

In addition to the Super Late Models, fans can also expect to see regular features in Limited Late Models, Econo Bombers, Super Bombers, and Cruisers.

Pit Gates open at 4 PM. Grandstand gates open at 5 PM. Racing starts at 7:30 PM. Adult grandstand admission is $20. A $5 adult discount is available with a Coca-Cola bottle cap, one bottle cap per person. Ages 9 – 17 years old are $5 each and children 8 years old and under are free. Trackside / tailgate section admission is $22 per adult and $11 per child. Pit Passes are $25 per adult and $11 per child. 4 wheelers and golf carts are an additional $10 each.
