Each year the holiday season provides a time to reflect on the year and prepare for the approaching New Year. For the SS Racing team and drivers it’s a much needed break albeit brief.
SS Racing competed in 58-events traveling as far west as Texas to the upper mid-west and across the deep-south. Although victory lane came close, it somehow eluded them this year through a series of last-lap bad luck.
But the team was not without many accomplishments in 2007. Most notable was Rookie Driver, Sean Murphy, taking the Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the Year Championship in the ASA Late Model Series Challenge Division.
At the start of the season SS Racing brought on three new drivers, Sean Murphy - ASALMS, Gary Schalmo - UMP Dirt Late Model and Tim Sauter - NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The race team’s crew also had new faces.
