Six times British Truck Racing Champion Stuart Oliver is revving up to take his seventh title in the final round of the British Truck Racing Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend (3/4 November).
Stuart, who races in the Class A category, looks the likely contender for this year’s championship after building up a 22 point lead over nearest rival Chris Levett last time out at Pembrey. However, with 22 points on offer at the Truck Race Superprix the title is not yet sewn up, and Stuart is hungry to win.
“I may be in a comfortable position in the championship, but two more wins would be the icing on the cake” said Stuart. “Every race meeting this year in the British Championship has been full of surprises, and I don’t expect Brands Hatch to be any different. At the end of the day, I do truck racing to win – the enjoyment is a bonus! ”
The Class B title is also going down to the wire, with front runner Garry George just nine points ahead of second place Graham Powell. Garry snatched the championship lead from Graham during the last race meeting in Pembrey, and he will be hoping to consolidate his new found lead to be crowned Class B champion at Brands Hatch this weekend.
Off the track, a host of activities will keep the whole family entertained including face painting, karting, rally hot rides and a visit from Diggerland. There is also a display of 150 of the country’s finest showtrucks featuring American Classics, European Customised Trucks and the Working Trucks visible on Britain’s roads.
