The Fair Board for the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee is conducting a survey to see what is the best use of the grounds at that facility. The results of the survey could determine if the Music City Motorplex gets to continue to operate as a racetrack.
The track management is asking for your help, please take the survey listed below and let the Tennessee State Fairgrounds know you want the Music City Motorplex race track to remain as part of the Fairgrounds operating property.
Later in the season and to close out the 2007 season overall, all three divisions within the ASALMS will collide as part of the 25th annual All-American 400 Weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday November 2-3-4, 2007. The ASALMS will be a part of the prestigious weekend with their portion of the All-American Weekend in the running of the North VS South All-Star Showdown/All-American 200. Joining the ASALMS once again for the All-American 400 Weekend will be the CRA Super Series.
For the remainder of the 2007 season, under the direction of Promoter/President, Joe Mattioli, General Manager, Norm Partin, and Director of Public Relations, David Underwood; The Music City Motorplex races on Saturday nights featuring the NASCAR Whelen All American Series with NASCAR Late Models, NASCAR Super Trucks, and NASCAR Grand National Sportsman on the fast 0.596 Mile High-Banked Paved Oval.
On the adjoining 0.250 Mile Paved Oval, INEX Legends, INEX Bandoleros, MMRA Mini Cups, MMRA Baby Grands, Thunder Stox, Hornets, and Dwarfs will all make appearances throughout the 2007 season. In addition Friday Late Night Drags, run from May through September, featuring One on One street drag racing, show-n-shine competition and much more.
Some of the special events planned for the 2007 season at the Motorplex in addition to the ASALMS, CRA Super Series, and the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modifieds Tour includes; The Nashville X Cycle Jam, AMA Super Moto, Night of Champions, ISCAR Dash Series, DukesFest, NASCAR Busch East Series, Pro-Challenge Series, USA Modifieds, and the Southern 300 for the tracks three premiere divisions.
