Rain showers that came at different times last weekend forced Dixie and Rome Speedway officials to reschedule a few of the events until this weekend. While the Demo Derby was the only thing that was not completed at Dixie on Saturday, the entire event was washed out at Rome on Sunday night. Fans can now make plans for this upcoming Saturday and Sunday night July 7 and 8 at the two Georgia short tracks.
It all kicks off Saturday night, July 7 at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia with a full stock car racing program along with a Big Demolition Derby paying $600 to win - $400 for 2nd and $200 for 3rd, 4th - 10th gets $50 each. The Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, Sportsman, Econo Bomber, Super Bombers, and Cruisers will all be competing in the stock car racing portion of the program. The fireworks at Dixie were completed last Saturday.
Dixie’s still throwing in an extra bonus with fan appreciation night pricing. Double Late Model features with the Super Late Models in a $2000 to win championship and the Top Tracks Late Models competing for a $1500 to win championship are the main events.

Rome Speedway will also host a full stock car racing program with Limited Late Models, Econo Bombers, Pony Stocks, and Cruisers along with a huge fireworks display.
Rome Speedway admission prices are as follows: adult grandstand $18, ages 9 – 17 $6, and kids 8 years old and under free with paying adult.
