Ed Ordynski Steps Down As Chairman of the Australian Rally Commission

Acting Chairman Appointed For ARCom

Following the CAMS media release of 28 August 2007 advising of Ed Ordynski’s decision to not seek reappointment as Chairman of the Australian Rally Commission for 2008, Ordynski will formally step down from the position on 12 October 2007.

Whilst CAMS has not yet concluded the public expressions of interest process seeking a replacement Chairman for 2008, CAMS has accepted Ordynski’s early resignation.

Following normal governance processes, ARCom Deputy Chairman, Col Trinder, will take up the position as Acting Chairman until such time as the expressions of interest process has been completed and a permanent appointment is made.

“On behalf of my fellow ARCom members, CAMS and the general rallying community, I would like to acknowledge Ed’s significant contribution as Chairman over the past ten months, “ said Trinder.

“Under Ed’s leadership, we have been able to develop a sound framework for planning ARCom’s future direction and ushered in a new era of consultation with our stakeholders. “

“I look forward to continuing the momentum Ed created through 2007 and the challenge of leading ARCom through this period of transition while a new Chairman is appointed for 2008. I also look forward to continue working with Ed who has been a strong advocate for the needs of Australian rallying, “ concluded Trinder.
