AUSTRALIA’S small-car line-up – which has grown to dominate the market as demand for large cars declines – is changing dramatically as fresh models flood in.
Replacement Mazda 2 and Subaru Impreza models have just arrived in showrooms, to be followed next month by an added Hyundai, the i30 hatchback (right), and an all-new Mitsubishi Lancer sedan.
A baby Nissan Micra will return in December after a decade’s absence, and Ford will introduce a Focus convertible, its first four-cylinder open car since the Capri was axed in 1994.
