There is something special every time I see a Corvette. Maybe it’s a childhood memory; I don’t know. But every time I see a ’Vette, regardless if it’s new or old, something triggers in my brain that makes me look twice at the car with a sense of admiration.
My favorite has always been the Stingray, and I think it is the most beautiful sports car of its time. In fact, for the last 50 years, Corvettes have been the premier American sports car challenging Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Porsches with a balance of power and styling. Now, some of you will say that we have the Viper, and you’re right. But unlike a Viper, the Corvette is a daily driver and has more creature comforts.
The 2007 Corvette Convertible can be simply described in one word: gorgeous. The styling is sporty and aggressive. With the top down, the Corvette becomes summer and shows you a new world of fun. Taking the top power top down is fast and easy and takes a mere 18 seconds.
The inside of the ’Vette is everything an automotive enthusiast could ever want. The huge speedometer and tachometer stare directly at you along with the Corvette logo located on the thick leather steering wheel. All controls are easily within your reach. My only complaint with the entire car is that the DVD-based navigation screen loses its brightness when the top is down on a sunny day. Other than that, the interior receives a perfect 10.
