The Eastern Motorsport Press Association (EMPA) will celebrate its 40th anniversary in January 2008 with its annual three-day working convention at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Trevose, Pa. (just north of Philadelphia).
The 2008 convention is planned for Jan. 25-27, 2008.
The EMPA convention is the only one of its kind. Over 100 working members of the media who regularly cover auto racing attend the weekend-long event, which consists of the annual Pocono Raceway Casino Night on Friday, a series of press conferences/seminars/workshops on Saturday and the EMPA/NASCAR Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony on Saturday night, where outstanding competitors, contributors to the sport and members of the media are honored.
