Over twenty historic F1 single-seaters are expected at the Scarperia (Florence) circuit in the first running of the ‘Mugello Historic Festival’, a unique event for car fans who will also have around 200 cars to see on track and in the paddock. Many of these have written some of the most unforgettable pages in the history of international motor sport and include Jackie Stewart’s Tyrrell, Keke Rosberg’s Williams and James Hunts’s McLaren.
On top of that we have Lotus, Brabham, Minardi, Ensign and Osella to name but a few. The race promises to be really fascinating and is run under the auspices of the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile. ) Another highlight of the event is the Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge, eligible to all Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo cars built for racing. There are eleven different categories in the Challenge and around sixty cars will take part, from a 1932 Alfa Romeo P3 to a 1981 Ferrari 512 BB LM.
