This is the striking new XF, a true fusion of sports and luxury, the latest of Jaguar’s long heritage of beautiful, fast cars. The power to perform. XF’s engine is an all-aluminum 4.2-liter, 32-valve AJ-V8 with four variably-phased overhead cams and ribbed block and cylinder heads for stiffness and reduced engine noise. A naturally aspirated version develops 300 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, delivering effortless performance. In the supercharged model a rotor-type blower is added, increasing output to 420hp and 413lb-ft of torque, giving instant linear response. The car’s transmission is a nimble 6-speed Sequential Shift automatic. Shift-by-wire gear changes are signaled via JaguarDrive Selector or fast steering-wheel-mounted paddles. This car will accelerate from 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds with impeccable character.
