The leader of the pack will be the Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo from Shelby Supercars, which recently screamed into the Guinness Book of World RecordsTM as the fastest production car in the world. This custom-built supercar clocked a scorching 413 kmph at a test site in Washington, comfortably blowing away all previous records. The Dubai Motor Show will be the first time the Aero will be on public display since breaking the world record.
Former title holder the Bugatti Veyron 16/4 which held the crown for 2 years, with a top speed of 407 kmph, is just behind. Touching 0 to 100 kmph in an unbelievable 2.5 seconds, it is even faster than the Ultimate Aero! The Koenigsegg CCX rounds off the top three at the show. Over the last few months, the Koenigsegg CCX was awarded the Sportscar of the Year title, and set a new lap record on BBC’s popular Top Gear show.
If there is one name that still inspires awe amongst its peers, be it on the race tracks or on the streets, it’s the Ferrari. Designed as a tribute to its legendary founder, the Ferrari Enzo is the most powerful naturally aspirated production car in the world, and will be a part of Dubai Motor Show 2007. Speaking of legendary names, the show will also host the Pagani Zonda, designed by one of Formula One’s all time greats, Juan Manuel Fangio.
