Nextel Cup Series veteran Mark Martin was singing the praises of a mostly unknown driver named Joey Logano at Dover International Speedway three years ago. Talk about getting put on the fast track to enter the world of NASCAR.
At the time, Logano was just 15 years old.
Well, Logano, now 17, certainly has lived up to Martin’s vision as NASCAR’s “next big thing” by winning in every racing division in which he has competed.
And Logano will clinch NASCAR’s Busch East championship just by taking the green flag in today’s Sunoco 150 (4:45 p.m.) at Dover International Speedway.
