HAMPTON, Ga. (Feb. 12, 2008) – Accompanying the scent of race fuel and burnt rubber, love will be in the air and in victory lane as Atlanta Motor Speedway offers fans a special Valentine’s Day promotion which provides the opportunity to tie the knot just hours before the green flag drops on the March 9 Kobalt Tools 500 Sprint Cup race.
A licensed and ordained minister will be provided to conduct each ceremony in victory lane. All couples participating will receive complimentary access to the pre-race stage area where the 43-car starting field will be introduced, a wedding day photo in victory lane and a special gift from Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Each couple that registers on Valentine’s Day beginning at 9 a. m. will also have their initials painted in a heart on the retaining wall for the Kobalt Tools 500 weekend.
All participating parties will receive a wedding gift from Atlanta Motor Speedway. One newly wed couple will get to participate in Victory Lane festivities immediately following the Kobalt Tools 500, while another lucky couple will receive an upgrade on their Kobalt Tools 500 grandstand tickets to Club One, AMS’ luxurious race viewing experience. One lucky pair will receive VIP access to Atlanta Motor Speedway’s October NASCAR weekend including tickets to Friday’s qualifying night, Saturday’s Craftsman Truck Series race and suite access to Sunday’s Sprint Cup race.
Each couple must call the Atlanta Motor Speedway ticket office at 770-946-4211 to register and must possess tickets to the Kobalt Tools 500, as well as a Georgia marriage license.
