Homestead-Miami Speedway invites South Florida residents to join thousands of companies and individuals from across the country to celebrate the fourth annual NASCAR Day on May 18 and raise money for the NASCAR Foundation and local charitable initiatives, including Speediatrics at Homestead Hospital.
NASCAR Day, a one-day annual event, gives NASCAR fans an opportunity to show their spirit while giving back to their communities and the nation. All proceeds from pin sales will go to the NASCAR Foundation and Speediatrics, a race-themed pediatric unit at Homestead Hospital. Through the NASCAR Foundation, funds reach charities benefiting children’s causes, animal welfare and rescue, nature conservancy, bone marrow and blood donation, and more.
NASCAR Day has been quite successful over the past four years. As a result of NASCAR Day 2005, Homestead Hospital was presented with a $100,000 check for Speediatrics, and the 2006 date raised over $1.3 million for the NASCAR Foundation and its initiatives.
