Alain Bergeron of Saint-Pie QC was, this weekend, in Mackeyville PA and Woodhull NY.
The team had a long road to make to go to these two tracks which offer a whole ‘challenge’ to the drivers. Friday evening (July 11) at Clinton County in Mackeyville PA, Bergeron was qualified for the A-Main while finishing in 6th place in its heat race. Based on the draw, he was 7th on the starting grid. It is thus from the 16th position that the driver had to take the start of this A-main race. In spite of the difficult passing, he succeeded to gain some spots and finish the race in 12th place.
The following day, Saturday July 12, the drivers were at Woodhull NY. Sixth on the starting grid of its heat race, Alain Bergeron successful qualify itself for the final A-Main while finishing in 3rd place. For the A-Main, Bergeron was 8th on the starting grid but he was not able to capitalize on it as traction problems have him passed the checkered in 11th place.
Bergeron was somewhat disappointed with the weekend results, but he doesn’t give up since he has showed in the past that he can rebound and come back very strongly. So, all the team goes back to work and will be fine ready for the races to come.
