After a weekend off, Alain Bergeron and his team are going back on the road for Pennsylvania for the ‘Shot Drop/Rislone Nationals’ that will be held Friday night at the famous Sprint Car track, Williams Grove Speedway. It will be a first time at that track for Alain Bergeron, of Saint-Pie QC.
That race will not count for the ESS series Championship; however, the competition will be very strong as all the URC series drivers, and the Williams Grove Sprint Car regulars will be there.
The ESS 2006 champion is still, this year, support by a lot of sponsors as DMI, TUFOIL, BR Motorsports, Fast Wings, Castrol Racing, Real Wheels, Red Bear Hand Cleaner, Rod End Supply, Pro Shocks, ‘Coffrage Daniel Lampron’ and Tarkett.
In 2007, Alain Bergeron is in his 8th season with the very competitive series, the Empire Super Sprints ( ESS).
In 2006, the Saint-Pie native was crowned the 2006 ESS tour champion after a very good 2005 year as he finished in fifth place in the point standing and he had been champion of the ‘Gater Racing News Lap Leader Award’
Bergeron was the first Canadian to win a Sprint Car race with
the ESS in 2000. Sprint Cars are one of the most popular type of racing in the United Sates and at the end of the 2001 season, in his second year driving a Sprint Car, he had the most wins of any driver in the series with 3.
Racing with the ESS since only 6 years, Alain Bergeron is already in 18th position in the all-time winners list of the series. Throughout this season, we will inform you of his results and
various news from Team Bergeron, while Alain will be on the road competing to the best of his abilities. Alain Bergeron’s hometown is Saint-Pie-de-Bagot and he is a former champion in Mini-Sprint and ATV, both on dirt and ice surfaces.
