American Sprint Cars On Tour National Series Is Set To Tackle Sedalia’s Missouri State Fair Speedway
The O’Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series is set to tackle Sedalia’s Missouri State Fair Speedway on Tuesday night, with ensuing “Show-Me Showdown” stops at Double X Speedway in California, MO, on Wednesday night for the First Annual Daniel McMillin Memorial and then the series first stop at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS, on Saturday night.
And with 20 nights of action in the books for the 2007 season, perhaps the driver entering this week’s triple-header with the hottest hand is Jason Johnson of Eunice, LA, as “The Ragin’ Cajun” has topped four of the series last six feature events.
A look at the series driver stats for the season reveals that as well, with Johnson climbing to the top of the win charts in both heat races and pole dashes while matching Gary Wright’s six feature wins. Johnson has also taken over the Feature Laps led category as well.
But Gary Wright still sits atop the category that pays; the $50,000 championship points chase. Wright holds a meager six point lead over Wayne Johnson, with Jason Johnson just 31 points out of the lead.
