The American Sprint Car Series longest-running Regional series, the ASCS Rocky Mountain Region, has set its schedule for the 2007 season.

This year’s slate of action for the series that has featured six different champions in as many years consist of 18 nights of action at a dozen different tracks throughout Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, South Dakota and western portions of Kansas and Nebraska, including a pair of yet to be determined July events.

The series fires off with a challenge versus the NCRA at the Jetmore Motorplex in southwest Kansas on May 5 and ultimately wraps up with a two-night stand at New Mexico’s Aztec Speedway on September 14-15.

Along the way, the ASCS Rocky Mountain Region visits several venues for the first time, including a pair of stops at Lincoln County Raceway in North Platte, NE, along with single events at RPM Speedway in Hays, KS, and I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan, CO.

The series also takes to asphalt for the first time in 2007 with a pair of events at Erie’s Colorado National Speedway.

Along with each of the other ASCS Regions and the ASCS National Tour, two representatives from the ASCS Rocky Mountain Region will be invited to compete in the ASCS/Wesmar Racing Engines Challenge at Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s Winter Nationals in Mesquite, TX, on October 13.
