ASCS Southern Tour Ready For Carolina Pair

With seven events at six different tracks already in the books for the ASCS Southern Tour this year, the series is set to take to another pair of tracks this weekend.

On Friday night, the series visits Mileback Speedway in Gray Court, SC, for the first time this season. Then on Saturday night, the series makes its first stop at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, NC.

Chasing down his first ASCS Southern Tour championship, Brian Smith of Mooresville, NC, holds a 130-point lead over Malabar, Florida’s Kenny Adams, who is trying to make up ground after missing one early season event in favor of O’Reilly ASCoT National competition. Adams has posted four overall ASCS Regional feature wins this year.

Johnny Bridges of Cherryville, NC, enters the weekend ranked third, with the Florida duo of T. J. Winegardner (Pierson) and Bryn Gohn (Malabar) rounding out the current top five.

Friday’s action at Mileback Speedway gets under way at 7:30 p. m., with Saturday’s card at Fayetteville Motor Speedway going green at 7:00 p. m.

The semi-banked, 3/8-mile Mileback Speedway is located in Gray Court, SC, off I-385 Exit 19, then 1.5 miles, turn right on Dials Church Road, cross railroad tracks and at the four-way stop then left on Old Laurens Road, take immediate right on Curry Lake Road for one mile, then right on Mileback Road follow road to end.
